North Iceland's Geothermal Gem

The Myvatn Nature Baths draw their water from the Bjarnarflag geothermal area, where water naturally heated deep underground emerges rich in minerals and silicates. Unlike the Blue Lagoon, the water here is alkaline and contains no salt, making it gentler on skin and hair.

The baths were opened in 2004 to provide North Iceland with a world-class geothermal bathing experience, and they have become one of the most popular stops along the Diamond Circle touring route.
