Namey is a baby name discovery app built with your privacy in mind. We collect minimal data, store your preferences locally on your device, and never sell or share your personal information.

Information We Collect

Local Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device:

This data never leaves your device unless you use the partner sync feature. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.

Partner Sync Feature

If you choose to pair with a partner to find matching names, the following data is stored in our cloud service (Google Firebase):

Important: Partner sync uses anonymous authentication. We do not require or collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal information. The anonymous identifier cannot be traced back to you.

Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports contain:

What We Don't Do

Data Retention

Local data is stored on your device and removed when you uninstall the app. Cloud data from partner sync is retained only while your pairing is active. Inactive pairings are automatically cleaned up.

Children's Privacy

Namey does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.
